Every layer on Bushfire.io as XYZ tiles, WMTS and WMS: live warnings, incidents, Possible Fire Ignitions, hotspots, roads and fire danger across Australia, the US, Canada and Europe, global near real-time satellite, our 10 m S2 basemap and 3D terrain. Webhooks and a REST API carry the events behind them.
The challenge
What makes it hard
Dozens of feeds to integrate
Every agency has its own format, schedule and quirks, and they change without notice.
Most basemaps are years old
Global imagery basemaps are patchworks captured years apart, with no infrared or NDVI for reading vegetation.
Licences that block products
Many imagery and hazard data licences limit use to internal systems, which rules them out for a public product.
Tiles
One key, one URL pattern, every layer
Create an access key from your account. Put any layer name from the catalogue below into the raster URL and you have an XYZ tile layer, styled exactly as on our map.

@2xbefore.pngfor 512 px tiles on high-density screens - The same names work as WMTS and WMS layers in ArcGIS, QGIS and FME

Use these names in the raster URL above, or pick them from WMTS and WMS capabilities. Terrain has its own URL, in the Terrain tab. WFS adds the feature data for analysis.

Live layers cover Australia, the United States, Canada and Europe. Near real-time satellite and the S2 basemap are global. WFS needs the Data and API Access add-on.
